Keeping a Reef/Fish tank in a home theater room..

Anyone done this? Have you had problems with high levels of base, what should I be concerned most about? What problems could I eliminate... Basically, I have a whole 24ftx16ft room that my parents said I could use as a home theater room. I'm going to have a nice HDTV, a bar, 125 gallon tank, etc etc... Any suggestions? Also, suggestions on how I should set the room up

for 2 years I had my tank fairly near my large infinity floorstanding speakers that had some serious bass.

Never had a problem althouhg IM sure my fish didnt appreciate the vibrations from time to time. If its an absolutely grotesque setup with enormous bass, I might be worried about the vibration/and the glass....

but thats just a guess..nothing more.

I have my reef in the same room as my home theater system and I have not had any problems. If you think about it, it is really pretty loud when you are diving on a reef. The waves crashing around make a lot of noise. The fish shouldn't be bothered by the sound.

As for setting up the room, the tank behind the bar would be awsome.

Andrew

PS. Our theater/fish room is almost the same dimension as yours.

Well guys... just measure the space this morning... it's 25ftx14ft... Going to frame it out, do drywall, get carpeting and a drop ceiling. Haven't looked at pricing yet, but framing and drywalling i'm expecting around $500. All do it myself of course, and i'm doing the electrical cabling, speakers cabling, network drops etc before I drywall... It's going to be nice. I was thinking of putting the fish tank behind the V shaped sectional couch maybe. Still have some planning to do.
