Hi organicreefer!

Yup, clock is set. The last one I watched on Discovery Science, Australia's Marine World was a pretty good hour. Reviews to follow....

Are you kidding!! Im gonna tape it! I was really intrigued by the last discovery reef program where they thought the tradewinds where bringing over diseases from deserts and possibly killing the corals.....Discovery channel flat out RAWKS!

Sure...Africa has MASSIVE sandstorms that stretch thousands of miles which people have studied airborne molds/fungus from these deserts get carried to the carribean and has a direct affect on some corals Sea Fans in particular. They where blaming africa for poor farming techniques....check this link out....it has another link to RC where they talk about it.

Africa desert killing carribean reefs?

Yeah, not really the type of show I was expecting. The whale coverage was great though! Out of the two, I found the second program, Frozen Seas to be the better show.
