When I bought my 105g tank it came with (I think I DID pay for it in the long run) a RedSea 100mg/hr Ozone unit and an Aquatentnics 30w UV system.
Well If I ask my LFS anything bout em' they say "You should buy one" or "oh ya, thats good for a reef" (just like that trigger fish I saw and asked about) (but I knew better that time) I've heard that both unit are nice too have and can help in a fish only tank, but how bout in a reef tank???I plan to end up with a reef tank w/ a DSB Should I keep these two units or just sell em' off for upgrading other things like lights or some thing?? ![]() |

I agree with organic....the theory behind UV is to kill unwanted bacteria....but it also kills wanted bacteria....spend more money on your skimmer instead

If your fish ends up with ICH, the Uv could come in handy.
Thats the only reason i can give you to keep any of them..... id sell'em and get some nice corals...... Thomas |
