    Hey sher,

Well Scubadude is considering opening up shop and making aquariums. Try emailing or PM'ing him, I'm sure he'll fill you in. Seeing how your in MN you might consider Inter-American(makers of Starphire tanks)...I think that's their name, Ninong or Ltspd would know. The company is in Canada and I've read alot of good things about them. Again, Ninong has the straight "poop" on these guys. HTH

    Smile Hi sher

If you arent in a big hurry then I can make you a tank....if you can email me all the specifics, holesdrilled,overflows....dimensions...types of glass (yes I can even build Starphire tanks....and Even OptiWhite tanks which are supposed to be better than starphire) I will admit to you that I have only built 4 tanks the biggest being a 55gal....but I am fixing to build 2-225 gal tanks and 2-360 gal. tanks....after I get done building those you will be able to see my workmanship (I will post pics...but it might be a month or so till this happens)....I have another guy that works with me that has been in the tank building business for over 30 years and right now he has taken me under his wing.....so in essence I have a wealth of knowledge/experience working right beside me. The only thing I Havent done/checked on yet is shipping of tanks....but Im sure I can find a reliable source. I will tell you this though....with it being 48" wide you are gonna pay much more cuz I would have to make the bottom out of 3/4" glass probably which is much harder to work with and cut....if you could keep the width down to 36" then it would drastically cut your cost down....i dont care if you wanted it 6' long...its just the width that starts to comprimise the strength with 1/2" glass.

    Here are your calculations

    Calculation Results:
    Tank Geometry: Rectangular
Tank Dimensions: 48.00 in. long x 48.00 in. wide x 24.00 in. high
    Volume: 239.38 gal.
    Water weight: 1991.85 lbs.
