2x250 mh and 2x55 pcs. No more vhos

hey all,
just got my 2nd installment of lights

Now the canopy has 2x250 6500 iwasaki mh, and 2x55 pcs(will be changing to actinics some day). for now, my tank will be a bit yellow, but the corals will be happy as am I. I will miss my vhos but a technical difficulty keeps me from using them

I will post a pic as soon as I fire it up

The camera I have sucks...but Boy is it bright. I do need some actinics to show off the corals color...


the ballast went out for no particular reason. It was under warranty but they were out. Offered me a refund instead. Good service for sure.

So would 2x55 W PC actinics be enough to offset the Iwasaki's color?

the 250 watt iwasaki is alot whiter than my 400watt iwasaki's//// so i think the 2 55 watt pc's are good... oh and if there not jason i have a another 2 55 watt set ill sell you...

Yeah. Should be fine. THe 250s as neil mentions are way whiter than the 400s seem to be.

Neil.. Ihave strait pin 55's....realux.. Do you have those or the CSL type.. I forget which is which sometimes..german or japanese.

One of these days Ill swap em out..for now, I really dont care..its not really yellow..just not blue.

i have the whole setup with ballast. hamilton... they are the straight pin.

there on my fish tank right now.. im dying to get rid of everything. but when i get the 2 fish out of that my lighting system will be in my closet..
