Question Im getting sick of sargassum...

Im getting tired of the sargassum that is making my tank look like absolute Kr@p! Would there be any adverse affects to removing like a # of it? there is just too much in my tank! its also preventing me from reaching the rest of the aiptasia.

You could remove alot of it....but I would leave some of it....its obviously growing because of nutrients in the tank....so it is in effect giving you the Refugium technique....I read in your profile that you have a refugium but maybe you have more nutrients to deal with....Just keep on trimming it back....You should feel lucky cuz you dont have to buy a big expensive skimmer since the sargassum is pulling all the crap out of the tank for you! I would definately vote against removing it all....leave enough in there for it to constantly keep growing.

if i take like a pound out, i'd still have like 2 more pounds of it! and i am removing about 2-3 handfuls everyother week... I was thinking about fiddling with my crappy CPR BakPak maybe this time i can get it to work...
