tips/advise?

my parents said they would pay for all the stuff i wanted to do to my car, so that leaves me allot of spending money, and i want to put $100-$200 of it toward my reef. I wanted to buy 1 fish, a couple of coral, and I wanted to start adding stuff to make my tank healthier, help coralline grow...

for the fish i was thinking about:
a Royal Gramma

the coral would be 3 leather and something else (cant decide)

besides kalkwasser what should i dose?

I only add calcium and buffer (ESV B-Ionic.) I don't add any iodine, strontium or other additives. These should be adequately replaced when you do your water changes every 2 weeks.

Ask your mom and dad if they'd buy me some stuff for my truck?

Smile Hey Mark!

How bout spending some of that money on dripper for Kalk or pickling lime. It wouldnt take much money. You can buy them at the LFS usually for 20-30 bux and buy some kalk and a good test kit like Salifert (which Scott has some he is selling) once you get your drip rate down you wont have to worry about CA or topoff....just fill the jug every so often.

the dripper sounds like a good idea. i am also looking for a job so id have alot more spending money (im almost desperate enough to work at mcdonalds). i cant find any pickling lime for the life of me, so im gonna have to stick with the expensive stuff.

FishKid:

You'll have to get to a larger metropolitan area than NYC to find pickling lime, I would guess.

What did your mom say...do I get some car stuff too?
