Naser,
The owner of our LFS("Animal Works") placed the order through a business in Martinez, CA by the name of "Saltwater Connection". IMO, we all got some really good pricing for the trans-ship.

Rocky,
Aside from Steve(owner of "Animal Works") breaking down 150 miles away from town( $700 dollar tow charge...OUCH!) the transaction was excellent and everyone was pleased. In fact, I didn't expect some of the pieces to be so large considering the price( $210 dollars for 14 pieces)!! BTW, I just cleaned out the inbox. Thanks buddy! ![]()

So did steve make you eat some of that $700 tow bill?
and so you only got 7 of the 14 corals correct? can you give us some pics on the other 7 or atleast tell us how they looked? Did Steve get to pic the ones he wanted first? Those are some very nice large colonys....Isnt that a M. Cap ? How big is that bad boy....does the coloring look a little off based or is it your camera? Im sure they are gonna take some time before they start looking there full selfs again too...huh......Im jealous! Do you know their origins? like Fiji, M.I., Vanatau, etc etc |

Aragorn, Nice looking stuff. Makes me want to order some.
I got a purple Acro the other day, only about 1/2 that size and not as nice as that one. I gave 50 just for it I am green with envy or should that be purple?

Well,
Steve didn't make us eat some of the tow fee since 2 of us in the group offered to drive him down before he left. He opted to drive his "piece o' junk" car(don't understand his logic sometimes). And yes, it is a Montipora capricornus about 8" diameter and 10" tall. It looks slightly purple/pink/brown. It'll take sometime time before it really "colors up" I'm sure. As for origin, the boxes came w/ origins posted as Jakarta and Bali primarily. I'll post some pic's of the other corals later today. I think the only disappointment is the Yellow Pagodas. Perry stated that they could possibly be dyed(I've heard this too) and I think they might be...we'll see if they turn brown. The reason I suspect this is because they really are a BRILLIANT yellow and I've noticed some brown on 1 of 'em.

Aragorn,
M. Capricornis wasnt in your list of corals that where supposed to be in the shipment....Im curious as to how many of the corals you got where actually the ones you ordered? When you say yellow pagodas do you mean Yellow Scroll Turbinaria reniformis? Im not sure if this is the same or not? If so I have a piece (fairly large) that I have I picked up at the LFS a few weeks ago and there was a portion of it that wasnt doin good...but I got it for cheap....I just wanted to apply the heads up to this coral if we are talking about the same species. Here is a pic of the piece that I got that I was talkin about ![]()
