Atlantic Blue Tang OK ?
I picked up a quarter size Atlantic Blue Tang this week from my vendor and put it in my quarantine tank. He had ick for 3 days and is now over it. With everyones blessing I am going to put him in my 75 gallon in 2 weeks to a month. My current inhabitants are a Blue Cheek Goby, two Purple Firefish, Yellow Watchman Goby, 2 True Percs, Flame Hawk, Mandarin, Pajama Cardinals Royal Gramma and I believe that is it. Would he be compatable ? I had two large yellow tangs and I sold them because they looked way too large for the tank. This guy is tiny, I know he will get bigger but we will have a new house and tank soon enough. I want at least one Tang for algea control and I think he is the ticket. What do you guys think, thumb up or down ? I can take him back if need be.

According to the "compatability chart" your tang may have an issue with the the cardinals (who are considered non-agressive). "Caution" is recommended.

I had an atlantic blue in my 90 and it grew from 3/4" to over 5" in less than six months. As well he looked cramped in my 90. IMHO IME
