Talking it think i discovered a new "cure " for aiptasia

about, oh a month ago, i moved my trigger and lion fish into my reef tank.i had to downsize and the 110 FOWLR had to go.
i had about 150 lbs of live rock in there with alot of life,a large portion of the life being aiptasia
after removing the fish i completely neglected the tank,to the point that the water has evaporated to half way and the specific gravity is way off the charts (of my seatest)
anyway ,to get to the point,it seems as though all the aiptasia are gone!?!?but i still have some life in the tank...hermits,that i didnt know were in there, some worms(it looks like all the fan worms are gone though) the corraline is there........

now i did lose alot of life im sure ,but i kept alot of the most desirable things, namely the coralline algea, and some worms...hermit crabs lived, but im not sure about amphipods /copepods.
maybe not the best way,but for someone with a bunch of live rock that is infested,it might be somethign to consider(that is if everything pans out and they dont come back).im gonna start to drip freshwater into the tank and see what happens,if they dont come back im stoked
ill keep everyone updated

Thumbs up re :trigger

my trigger is doing great, especially since he fattened up on all those shrimp
so ,other than the getting beat on by my tang hes doing great

I've been fairly lucky in the aiptasia field, but I did have one rock with a few on it. I noticed that they always come out when the lights are off, so I moved the rock to within 2" of the surface where the light could blast the rock. I never saw them again...
