I am looking at the live rock at premium aquatcs. They have some nice fiji and marshall Island stuff. Just wondering, the Marshall stuff is much more pourus and is much more branchy. Given the fact that I have a twelve gallon tank with a 3.5 inch sand bed, would I need less Marshall than fiji, and if so, how much would you recomend poundage wise, for a tank of this size. Secondly, is the Marshall worth the extra 1.24 per pound after discounts.
Third question is, I have a hospital tank that I am setting up that has been in storage for some time. I noticed some mice feces in the bottom, I want to clean it out so that there is no harmful traces of "anything" left in it, what cleaners are safe to use. ![]()

Most people (and me) are going to say to go with about 1 1/2 LBS of LR per gallon of water. Given your tank is only 12 gallons why not just get half fiji and half marshall. I personally like marshall better and I would pay the extra for it. But thats me. As for cleaning the other tank. I am not sure if you should use any cleaners. I would just go with go ol' water and a scrub brush. Hope this helps! Good luck and take your time, you'll be glad you did.
