My master MO plan...
I know this topic has been beat to death and I apologize for bringing it back to the top, but I have been trying to assemble my 'master plan' for good, reputable MO companies so I know where to go for what. I have to do pretty much everything MO.
This is what I have so far. If anyone has any horror stories or great out-of-body experiences with any of these, or other companies that I should consider, I would love to hear their comments... Fish - FFE (used for years and like them), maybe Marine Fish Supply. Supplies - FFE, Premium Aquatics, maybe Big Al's Inverts/Corals - Dr Mac & Sons, FFE, Paragon Aquatics Cleaning Crew/Refugium kits - IPSF or Inland Aquatics. Also trying out Jeff's Exotic Fish as they have a great 9 for $99 deal. FFE - http://www.ffexpress.com Marine Fish Supply - http://www.fishsupply.com Premium Aquatics - http://www.premiumaquatics.com Big Al's - http://www.bigalsonline.com/ Dr. Mac - http://www.drmaccorals.com Paragon Aquatics - http://www.paragonsales.com/ IPSF - http://www.ipsf.com/ Inland Aquatics - http://www.inlandaquatics.com/ Jeff's Exotic Fish - http://www.exoticfish.com/ |

Do you have no LFS near you that are reputable. When possible (which is all the time for me) I buy everything locally...I hate to buy MO cause I dont wanna chance shipping disasters..Obviously if you cant go to a LFS, then you have no other option...but I always suggest that first..
Where do ya live?

I have one LFS, but they are very limited. I got frustrated and stopped trying to get stuff through them after getting bumped 4 times on a waiting list for a powder blue. When they get a load of LR, I understand there is a group of people fighting over every piece. No thanks.
Even though MO is sometimes risky, it is much cheaper and I get much better quality. Although I do have the occasional disaster, the loses are acceptable overall. I live in northwest montana. Writing this made me think of an idea... maybe I need to start a LFS! Anyone interested? |

Marine Depot, Premium Aquatics, and Jeffs exotic fish are three that I have used and have nothing but good to say about. I highly recommend any of the three, although, Premium seems most accessable for customer service (e-mail wise at least) but Jeff gets back to you quick as well.

Perry, I have an order from Jeff's coming on Tuesday. I have not used him before. Did you mail order yours or go pick it up? Had someone comment that the MO from Jeff's didn't do well. But I wanted to try him as his deals are great.

Put www.themarinecenter.com on your list this is my most used and favorite MO company. They are great for that Rare and hard to find coral and quality is outstanding.

Just ran across a pretty cool site yesterday http://www.cquarium.com. Looks like you pick a specific coral and it's yours.
