Fish stocking suggestions

Well my 58 gallon has been up and running over a year now, and I am looking to make some changes. I currrently have two perculas, a green chromis, a purple psuedochromis, and a scott's fairy wrasse. The purple psuedochromis has decimated my pod population, so I would like to get rid of him and the green chromis. I am going to give the tank at least 3 to 4 months to sit with out adding any more fish so I can get the pod population back up. I would like to the add a green mandarin, and possibly two citron gobies. Would the citron gobies be competing for the same food source as the mandarin?

I would like some recomendations for fish that are colorful with a good personality, that will not compete with the mandarin for pods. Thanks for the help!!

I suggest you install a refugium. And even then i feel that 2 gobies and one mandarin are way two much. Some people have trouble keeping just one of these species. These guys base most of thier diet on pods unlike the chromis, clown, and dottyback and look what they did to your population. I suggest getting either one mandarin or one gobie only. (Mandarins are more fragile eaters so you might have more luck with the gobie) Get yourself a 10 gallong tank. With a small air pump. small cheap heater and then visit Ipsf.com There you will see and pod package that also gives you the breeding algae. Put that in you breeding tank and let them multiple. When you have a good amount. Siphon some pods out with airline tubing into a small cup and pour it into the main tank while the lights are off. Or ofcourse you can get a refugium. Up to you. Hope this helps.

I am not for sure how well your wrasse and a dragonet would work out. The wrasse may frighten the manderine to much.
Y2sba is correct on getting a refugium being a good idea though.

I agree with tendar, don't think a wrasse would be a good idea with the maderine. IME, Maderine also ar very picky eaters and can stave very easy.
