    Protein Skimmer Auto Shut Off

I have a 60 Gal flat back reef tank using a CPR Cyclone 93 Biofilter which has a built in Protein Skimmer. The output of the protein skimmer currently flows into a 1 gal plastic jug.

The protein skimmer has always been difficult to adjust and occasionally has a tendency to over-skim and puts out too much water until it gets stabilized. This usually occurs after I have had the skimmer turned off for a while and start it back up or after adding some additives to the water.

Question: Do you know of a collection cup or a sensor that will automatically shut off the skimmer when the collection cup is full; thus preventing an overflow?

    Thanks,

    Ron

http://www.myreefcreations.com/skimmers.html look at waste collection. You can also try to make on but it must be an airtight seal with the ping pong ball.
