Green Coraline Algae
I have a lot of green coraline algae grwowing on one side of my tank. The other side is pink. Is this normal?
Is the green algae beneficial. I see some pink spots between the green areas. Pretty interesting that it only grows in one area of the tank. The lighting is symetric. I have no idea of what is causing it. |

Coraline comes in pink, purple, dark red, green, dark green, white and orange they are all benificial. And although the lighting may be even the water flow and nutrient consintrations are not and this along with many other variations (some of which we will never know) will explain the areas of extra growth.
