I just added som Carib sea Aragamax, its been 24 hours and its still cloudy.
Whats wrong????

I ran 2 maxi-jets with mechanical filters over the night, but it did'nt help at all, So i fired up my skimmer and it removed som "dirt", but its still there, so when will it be gone????

I'll be thank full for any replyes at all....

I rinsed the crap out of mine, still was very cloudy. I put floss in the overflow and that actually did a lot.

You actually want all that microfine sand drifting around in there. Give it a few days to settle out. Once the bacteria start growing really well, the smaller particles will stick together a little and the sandbed will firm up.

Heres my 220 after adding sand

This is all the mucky foam that I netted off of the top of the water after rinsing my sand, and it still took over 48 hrs to clear

Heh!

Here is my tank back when it was cloudy. It took a little over a week to clear. I didn't rinse it or run any filters to clear it up. What finally did the trick was adding some live rock and the bacteria helped the sand to clump up and settle out.

FWIW, Nathan
