Are you going to glue the rock right to that frame?

Also, are you going to fill it with water or seal it at all ends with air in it?

I have never seen anything like that...but it looks pretty cool...

pvc

mrok

It seems like it is going to be pretty tough to conceal the pipes.

from looking at the pic's I really can't invision how it is going to work.

If you could explain the process a little bit more that would be great.

And please post some pic's while in the tank.

Drill holes into the pipe. Use plastic cable ties to mount rock that hass been drilled to the PVC. Then mount rock to rock that has beem pre- drilled to each other. Anthony Calfo and Mike Palleta give a good explanation of this technique. I will be a bit of mind work but it will work. I will post some pics soon.

You could point\connect a power to one end
and really increase water flow around the rocks.

That is a cool idea, can't wait to see more pics.

It should not be to difficult to conceal the frame work. I will be using some ledge rock fot the long flat spans. It truly is like building a facade.

Ok you have this thing looking like a space station here, You obviously have more than one route and will need to strategically place your holes and maybe even block some paths off to current. Like your sand bed...you obviously dont want current flowing down under your DSB...this could end up being an indepth thread Lets all toss some more ideas around on this one. BTW Mrok...how much $$ you got sunk into this DIY project so far? and what size is that PVC?

Yeah you are correct....but this goes back to the whole thing about putting LR PVC supports in the SB in the first place....it has always been the norm that you drill holes in the PVC so there are no dead spots for your SB fauna to migrate, I may be getting a little picky here but just trying to investigate all relativities.
