mi to az
hello!
im moving to az in a few months , i have a 55 gallon reef tank,,any suggestion on how to move this . Im thnking of flying the live rocks and corals with me and sell the fish that ihave in their.. thanks a lot for the input |

unless you have a cycled tank on arrival to az,bringing youre livestock probly wont work,yes you can bring th LR but i would think youre going to have some die off,and a cycle when you get to az,bye bye to most of youre corals ,probly.maybe you can contact a lfs in az,or something(any reefers from az on the board
)that you can go straight to on youre arrival,and they can hold you corals for a few weeks while you cycle youre tank.i would think youd have to be pretty attached to youre stuff to do all this though. |

Hi Erbs,
As the owner of a 55 reef myself, I would take this as an opportunity to upgrade to the 75 I wish I'd gotten instead of the 55!!! It might be easier to sell the tank as a whole than trying to parcel things out. It's tough enough to move a tank driving but flying is really problematical as the corals, etc., are out of your control in the belly of the plane or in the baggage system.
