I just decided to go with tropicmarin instead....add the salt to the water in a bucket and turn on my rio2500 in a 5 gallon bucket. The salt is mixed SUPER DUPER FAST. I let it mix for a few hrs and add it to tank generally 5 gals at a time..10 occasionally.....Its the best use for a large Rio.....actually im way more pleased with it as a saltwater mixer than as a return pump
