Tech1,
SPASSE has some excellent info on his website regarding refugiums. Check it out. Simply do a search on his ID. He's got a link to his website. HTH ------------------ One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them all, and in The Darkness bind them. Tahoereefs.com |

Hi tech
Here is a link directly to my refugium page on my site, feel free to ask me any questions, but FWIW If I was to redo my refug. then it would be more like spasse's HTH http://home.earthlink.net/~tents/refugium.html ------------------ Check out my NEW website Scubadude's Website Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. |

Adding a refugium into your sump isn't difficult. It is as simple as partitioning the sump into at least 3 sections. 1st for the drains from the display. 2nd for the refuge. 3rd for the return pump(s).
If you have 2 drain lines I would put one after the refuge but prior to your bubble removing baffles. If you flow a lot of water through one drain line, consider splitting it to do the same. Here is a design that is really effective. This is partitioned in 4 sections, one to accomodate the internal skimmer. Regards, Scott P.S. Moving to Equipment. |
