New Pics 3/10/02
these pictures were taken with a HP 315 photosmart digital camara. this first pic is through the left side of my 20g HEX.
you first see Hynophora, birds nest, purple tip acro, and the coral of to the right is a 2 week old blue tip staghorn-- its so new to my system that the blue tips are not very apparent.  My system was originaly in a 10g HEX which was broken in Oct. of '99. after replacing the tank the very next day with some birthday money i bought this tank--20g hex. Im still in college,thats the reason my upgrade was not that major--I can bring this system with me where ever I go with very little effort in comparison to most of you  If you look at the pics I have on this site in my signature, the center piece is a piece of shelf rock about 1/2 inch thick and 8 inches in diameter. this piece of rock became very incrusted with purple tip and M. Cap that I just broke of the nicest pieces of purple tip and pink rimed M. Cap and sold the rest to my LFS for $40 to purchase a Orange Montipora Capricornis.:fish: this system has 2 MJ 1200's and 2 MJ600 on a Red Sea Wavemaster pro wavemaker, 1 bell shaped pendent by Hamilton with 175w MH and Blueline 10k--I still supplement actinics here and there. I feed my LSB and detrivore kit from IPSF with DT's and Rotifers quiet offten. the sump is also a refugium with 7 species of fast growing macro algae along with 4 inches of Aragamax fine particle sand (5" in main) if you have any questions feel free to ask!  cheers, Joe |
