Life is very short on those bulbs when used 12/7 or 24/7, they also tend to shift color after about 100 hours to closer to a 43k bulb like most CF low energy screw in replacement bulbs
Hi guys,
Don't know if anyone else has seen these, but I picked up 4 screw in PC bulbs today at Home Depot. They are 20 watt bulbs that screw into a standard light socket. They are made by a company called Commercial Electric. The packaging claims their color is 6500k. They call them their "daylight" bulbs. The model/sku# is 835-332 and they sell 'em for about $9 ea. I can testify that they do have a pretty nice color to them.![]()
Might make a nice cheap light for a refugium, nano tank, or sump.
