Aquarium Concepts new store (Bay Area)

Well, I must say, I was in the Bay Area taking care of some business, and swung by the new store to say hi to Ken and the gang over there. I was also obviously excited to get a peek at what wat going on there. Now, the store isn't open yet, and they were still in the middle of some big-time work, but I have to say that I have never seen anything even near what they have going on. The big opening is planned for Sat, and I would urge everyone who has the chance to, to call and if its open CHECK IT OUT! New things are a 2000 gal display reef, TONS of coral and fish tanks (running on seperate systems), an amazing waterfall pond display with an aviary over it, and a walk through tank thats gotta be at least 500 gallons in size (its shaped somewhat like an upsideown 'U').

I have no doubt this will be the premier shop in all of northern california. I just hope that the livestock stays as healthy as it was today (don't see why it wouldn't). They had a good amount of fish in the new systems which had finished cycling weeks ago. As a former employee, I am friends with Ken, and so I can't be totally unbiased....but I'll honestly say everyone is in for a great surprise.

The new store is located about 4 blocks from the old on...on the corner of A street, and Foothill, right off the freeway (580). I look forward to seeing others thoughts on the new place.

Is this store affiliated with the Aquarium Concepts in Seattle WA?

Another reason I want to move to California, you guys really get all of the good reef and parts stores.

nope, its a privately owned and operated store.

Hehe....You want to come down here, and I am moving to Vancouver for a while. ironic uh?

So Perry, why are you going to Vancouver? I always wanted to visit Vancouver when I lived in the Bay Area but never got around to it.

I'll be in Elk Grove for a week in early May, so I'll stop by the new AC store if we pass that way.

What exit off of 580 would that be?

The address is 22398 foothill blvd in hayward, CA. Use mapquest, or the map thing at yahoo.com to get goo directions. I know my way around there, but am unfamiliar with the exit names.
