Here is what FFexpress has to say about the midas...

What a great little fish! It is an excellent choice for fish-only and invertebrate tanks. They get their name from their iridescent gold color which is often accompanied by a splash of warm peach coloring at the gills and throat.

Food is a top priority for these characters. They will eat just about anything offered and are usually get to the food first. They are very alert and like plenty of holes into which they can retreat to survey the activity around them. Their swimming motion is reminiscent of an eel. They are famous for their habit of backing into a favorite hole in the rocks.

Their maximum size in the wild is 4" and they are found in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Good choice for beginners.
