Angry Anchofish - A Nightmare

Beware of ordering from Anchofish.com . Indeed a nightmare.
First time I ever ordered from them and believe me it will be the last.
Ordered 5 corals and 1 Blue spotted Jawfish from them. It was set for Saturday morning delivery. Confirmed on Friday and was told that the Fed Ex Tracking number would be emailed to me. Never got the email. Went to Fed Ex Saturday morning and nothing. Just in case checked Airborne. Nothing. Get a call Monday morning from Fed Ex stating that the package was there but "Leaking" That is putting it mildly. There was maybe a cup of water left in each bag.
Evidently the box was stuck in Memphis Saturday as there were "multiple labels?" on the box.
Now get this. Plain cardboard box with the very thin individual plastic bags set inside of it. No insulated box, no heat pads. Even though I requested them as it would be around 25-30 degrees Friday night. The only bag that was not busted was the Jawfish bag. The Jawfish is still alive (maybe he'll make it)
Corals are very questionable.
I had left them a voice mail and and email Saturday. Called today twice and asked to speak to Lawrence (The owner?) and was told he was not in.
I suspect I will never hear from them and that is probably best.
Stay clear of this company.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Thanks for giving us all the heads up. I have wondered in the past how good they were....they seem to have some decent stock sometimes. That's pointless, though, if they never make it to you alive. Sounds like a shoddy packing job.

Indy, sorry to hear about that! You think they would treat you a little better than that. I tried to order twice from Anchofish but they never had what I wanted in stock. It sounds like it was a good thing they did not have what I wanted! I would recomend either FFexpress or Jeff's Exotic Fish I have had very good luck with both of these companies...

Sorry to hear what happened. I will also stay clear of them. I also would like to comment about FFexpess and Jeffs Exotic. I've had orders to be sent on Saturday (i know the extra shipping cost, but I was busy on the weekdays) and from both places everything was in shape, box was styrofoam inside a cardboard box, and EVERYTHIGN FROM ffexpress.com was AT LEAST double or TRIPLE bagged. The corals especially are first placed into a smaller bag, then bagged with a larger bag, and then bagged again. Now there's quality in shipping.

NOw i sound like an ffexpress.com salesperson

Im sorry again to hear about your situation.

Regards,

Ilham
