Talking I bought a Nikon 995!!!

Just let me say that this camera is amazing! I've never had a digital camera before this one, but this is very nice. I just can't believe the reproduction to paper quality. I'm going to mess with the macros tonight and see what I can do.

The Nikon 995 is vvveeeerrrrryyyy nice!! I only have a Kodak dig. cam, but have heart a lot of awards won by that camera from various phography magazines/camera magazines.

Good luck and have fun shooting!

I have had my Nikon 880 for almost 2 years and I love it.

You need to post some picture when you start using it.

Glad to see someone else checking out the boards in the wee hours. I haven't figured out how to get my tank pics really clear yet. Any tips?

Too bad you can't see any fine detail with that camera.

HOly geez!!

Yikes, that is a large pic. Scared me lol. Nice dog, is that a pug?

-Ilham

I use a kodak digital camera and usually it requires the use of a magnifying glass to see clearly, and i have to be really steady. If you can, try putting it on a bar chair so the camera rests on it. Then when you're ready, to take the shot, just hit the "shoot" button. ON the other hand, a tripod will be much more handy.

I was going to try and take some pics tonight using my tripod, but I got home from work too late. Yeah, my pup is an English Bulldog. He's about 10 weeks old now and a beast. My wife wishes he was a pug, but I refuse to have a yappy dog in the house...LOL No offense to you yappy dog owners intended.

Actually I have owned 2 pugs and neither of them have been "yappy". The shortened muzzle on them can cause breathing problems and snorting at times though.

Hey Chet Im fairly new on my 995 too....I thought you might want to check out this thread....it has some AWESOME tips.
