    Cutting/Fragging Polyps

    Hi All,
I am trying for the first time to remove some Anthelia Polyps from the LR so that I can share the fraggs with others. But I have come to find out that this has not been easy and could use some help.
I would like to cut the polyps at the very base so that I can get the mat that the polys are on so as I cut, with a razor blade, I get a few polys all attached to thier mat.
Well with all of the nooks and crannies in the LR I have found this not to be easy. Any ideas to make this easier?
Also if the above does not work can I just cut the anthelia at the base of their stalk and superglue them to something? Will they tolerate that or will they just die.
And if I do have to superglue is there a method to that? Or just cut and paste?

    Thanks for the help,
    CaptK

Anthelia is easy, just grab them at the base and pull them off the rock. Bunch them up like a flower bouquet and lay them on their sides on a rock. Place a rubberband around the rock to hold them in place. They will attach themselves to the rock in about one week or less.

I use pretty much the same method. Using tweezers, gently pull at the base - they really do peel right off. I go ahead and superglue them (just the bases) to the new rock, rather than rubberband, but it's your call. The superglue gel works best. Anthelia are among the easiest to frag, IMHO. Good luck - it isn't as hard as it looks, but it's still intimidating the first time.
