Are my ca - dKH/alk readings OK ??
I just received 2 test kits from salifert.
The calcium came in @ 410 and the dKH @ 9.6 I'm pretty sure that these are good readings, but I want to make sure. I've been adding Kent liquid calcium about every other day. Are these good test results?? Thanks---------------> this site is really cool = my piece of mind lol MORTMAN

Mark,
I am having a hard time keeping my alk up over 9.5- 10.5 dKh. My ca. remains steady between 440 and 470ppm. I have to top off a lot. Do you use anything in your top off water to help keeps things up? I am running a dual stage reactor. BArry |

I bought some superbuffer - dKH I am planning on adding
some of this, but I am concerned that it might raise my PH. I also bought a phos-zorb pouch and will try and get my phosphate level down as well. My tank has been set up for 8 weeks now and I really want get calcification started. Any suggestions?? Thanks Mortman
