Post How do I get rid of that annoying green fuzzy algae..?

I have this annoying green algae all over my live rock in my tank..It looks like a thick light greenish brown astroturf..What will eat it or how do I get rid of it??

oh yeah I forgot all water parameters are perfect the tank has been up for like 3 months.. Been up in two other tank since feb2000..The I moved the other tank into this 90 gallon..specs:
90 gallon
25gallon sump
mag1200 return 2 maxijet 1200's, 2 maxijet 900's 1 aquaclear 402
euroreef g2x(Not sure if I like it yet or not)
180+ lbs of live rock, 200lbs of LS
corals, mostly softies and lps and a few fish..Unfortunately my white faced tang has come down with ick recently and isn't doing too good..Iam currently treating him with garlic..(I think its from my big damsel pickingon him)

Red face

It sounds like you mean the dreaded Hair Algae...

Reduce your phos, reduce your silcate, reduce your feeding of the fish and or corals.

Been my personal experiance in Nor Cal that the tap water causes most of the problems, The use of RO/DI water was the only thing that helped in my tank that had it.

IMO bio controls such as emerald crabs or hermits or bennies or tangs are very useless in contolling a med to large (most rock has at least a little somewere) outbreak of Hair
