After weeks of obsessing, I finally replaced my Rio 1400 with a Mag Drive 3 pump. I was afraid that the Mag pump would look too bulky in my small 55 gallon tank, but once I removed the plastic base and rotated the outflow 90 degrees, it looks very sleek. Now I wish I had used a Mag Drive 5 instead, as it is the same size, yet pumps 500 gallons instead of 350.

Thanks for the info, I've been considering using a Mag (as opposed to the Maxijet) on my Urchin Pro. But I didn't know if it would pipe up like I wanted.
