Is the one on the right the T. derasa? Thats an awesome looking clam. Is that aptasia on it? I want to add one of those to my tank soon. Really nice.

I hate the hitchhikers. I bought a maxima today and I noticed after getting it home it has a very small aptasia. Fun.

I too am curious about the big mamma jamma on the R. ....is it Squamosa or Deresa? And is that its natural color or do you have actinics reflecting on it? That coloring is NICE!

Yes, the one on the right is the derasa. I have VHO lighting on my tank. 2--50/50 and 2 super actinic. I got that derasa for $40 and some xenia. This xenia has basically purchased everything in my tank. I have not used much cash to buy anything. Yes it is a weed, but I profit from it. Below is another pic of the derasa from a while back. The star in the picture is not a small star either!!!

Gorgeous clams. Do you ever have pyramid snails or worms attack them? Seems like every time I get a clam, it is covered with pyramid snails. No matter how hard I try to remove them all, I always seem to miss one and end up losing my clam. I have had two clams. The last one looked great when I went to work in the morning and when I got home, it was dead and the shell was already cleaned out by my clean up crew. don't understand it. But there were hundreds of pyramid snails inside his empty shell.
