2 legged starfish

I have a sand sifting starfish, and it was on the losing end of a fight with and 801 powerhead

. Will this guy grow his 3 other legs back? Thanks for any info.

As long as your tank is healthy and it is getting enough to eat, probably. Many stars will grow back from fragments of themselves. Worse thing that can happen is you end up with a deformed star.

I would suggest putting a strainer on your powerhead to keep it from happening again if you haven't.

I had the same happen to a brittle where it lost 2 legs. I am happy to say they regenerated. Hopefully the same will happen to yours.
