Talking OMG!!!!! 125g tank(long)

My parents finally are letting me set up a big tank, and since i've never had anything over 35g this is a huge jump. What are the normal dimensions of a 125g?

How many large fish could I keep in there?

This is what I'm thinking: SPS Reef:

5 anthias
5 green chromis
2 percs
1 purple tang
1 hippo tang
1 watchman goby/pistol shrimp

I think is is over stocking but I really have no idea what the dimensions of the tank are so you know..

Or maybe this Fowlr

1 emperor angel
5 anthias
5 green chromis
1 purple tang
1 watchman goby/pistol shrimp
2 percs

Or maybe a aggresive tank!

1 snowflake moray eel
1 humuhumu trigger
1 blue stripe trigger
1 tusk fish
1 niger trigger

In all these fishlists, are these to many fish, can I add more? Once again I've never set up a tank this big so I might be making crazy lists.

thanks

A standard 125-gal tank is 72"L x 18"W x 22"H, which means it takes 3 metal halides to properly light it for a reef tank. A standard 120-gal tank is 48"L x 24"W x 24"H, which means it takes only two metal halides to light it.

A 125-gal might make a nice FOWLR tank but I think a 120-gal tank is better for a reef because of the increased width, which gives you more space for live rock.

youre lists seem fine if just a tad bit heavily stocked
i got to agree with ninong totally on his reccomendations too.
the four foot tank is easier to light and is better for aquascaping...
the six foot is nice for large fish that need length for swimming room...

Mikeman,
About your fish lists. I like to be conservative about my fish stocking.

I think the in the reef list you should take out a tang. Also, maybe three anthias because otherwise the tank will be really full when they are 3-5 inches long.

FOWLR sounds good.

Aggressive list has too many triggers IMO. Maybe a lion fish or couple of maroon clowns or tang.

As always it is you choice in the end and you can decide...

I plan to now do this for the tank

1 valentini puffer
1 snowflake moray eel
1 chainlink eel
pair of clarkii clowns
1 h tusk

The puffer only get to about 4 inches so I'll have to watch him around my eels
