Last weekend after seeing that one of the shrooms already split i was cocky and went out and got myself what I thought was merely an Umbrella Leather. Nice peice, pretty much exactly what I was looking for as far as leathers went. However, I was on the hunt for rircordea mushrooms but I saw it and instantly was drawn to it. When I got it in the tank I saw something on the trunk of the Umbrella. A capnella leather. Its about an inch in length. Is this safe? I'm afraid the capnella will grow and start bending the stalk of the umbrella. But the capnella too is doing quite well both of these corals were at full bloom w/in an hour of hitting the water and are still that way. Quite excited I searched the trunk for more coral and to my surprise I found 2 newcorals on the rock the umbrella was attached to. I found both yellow and brown polyps. They too are doing well. So I feel I got a good deal for 4 different species I only spent $40. I can handle that. I also got a mate for my Cin. Clown. They have been inseperable since the little fella started acclimation. Unfortunately my brother couldnt come down to take pics. He had to meet w/ his bosses......if any of you are following the Enron/Arthur Andersen circus thats what he's been dealing w/. He's only on his 2nd yr at Andersen and it looks like A.A. isnt going to be around much longer. Couple fools took down a 100+yr old company. Screwing all on the way. But anyways. I'm done w/ school May 2!!!!! THANK GOD! Jon is getting burned out with chemistry
If i need to move that capnella please give me some detailed direction I'm a rookie at the coral prop. Down here i've been fragging our star polyps but i've just been pulling the ol' toss a rock on there and let them attach method.....thats the technical name in case you were wondering . So this would be new to me and very nerve racking because i dont want to damage either I like 'em both. thanks i'll try and keep in touch. Jon |

It's nice when you get the bigger end of the stick isn't it? I bought a really cool candy cane a few weeks ago at PA and it also came with some cool brown with bright orange centered polyps on the stalk. Not sure the name of the polyps, but they are very cool and hopefully the will spread to some rock nearby. Congrats!
