Help.I hane a 55gal reef and I am being invaded by brown Anemonies...I have tried to use a product called Stop for Aiptasia...They are invading my tank.I was told to get pepperment shrimp and they should eat these creatures...Is this true or does someone out there have any helpful hints...Help before I tear down the tank..Thanks oceanreef.... |

yes try the shrimp.. if you have that many you should try 2 maybe..

Are they little brown bulbous tipped anemones? If so, they me be those mojado (spelling? I know thats not right....) colonial bubble-tips. They are horrible, and sadly just about impossible to get rid of in my experience. Nothing I have used worked, short of getting rid of any rock they might have come on. Sorry....maybe others will have different experiences.
If they are aiptasia, there is more hope. Do a search for that for more info. -Perry |

the shrimp will work, you may want to purchase up to 4. the shrimp do not add much to your bioload so you won't have to worry about that, or about them eating your coral. just make sure that u get peppermint, some shops like to pass off camel shrimps as peppermints. lots o luck
