Candy Corals?
I saw a really nice candy coral today and I'm wondering what are there requirements? especially in flow, light and if they are beginner corals.

mikeman, you seem to, have a bunch of questions about individual corals,id suggest you save youreself the stress/money in the long term ,and invest in aquarium corals ,by eric borneman.i just got my copy and the only thing i regret is that i was cheap and i got the soft cover.i think its like 35 bucks(the price of one coral pretty much)...for the price you cant beat the info.
just a suggestion. by all means you can just ask me anything you want and if i dont know im happy to look it up for ya,but i think youd be happy with the book ![]() |

Hi Mike
I agree w/ what OR said about bornemans book, but there is info from the hobbyist that cannot be ascertained from books at times. FWIW I have 2 different types of candy cane (cant member if ones a candy and the other caulestrea...or both the same) well one is brown with green center eyes, and the other is all aqua light green color. The brown one grows VERY slow, but the aqua green one grows very good and sends out monstrous sweeper tentacles, the brown one I got from Jeffs and the aqua one I got from a freinds tank. both have been in basically the same areas low-moderate flow and moderate lighting |
