Need ID

these are popping up in my tank faster than i like, anyone have any ideas on what they are, i have some people telling me they are long tentacle anempnes but i'd like it to be unanimous. thanks

LTAs just popping up in your tank? That would be something to put in a book somewhere.

I don't think they are LTAs. 1) there are no dots on the stump. (sorry for the lack of terminology I'm too lazy to pull out the book) 2) They're on the LR. LTAs like the substrate.

Whatever they are they do look neat. Can you feed them? Are the tenticles sticky when you touch them? (LTAs are sticky) Can you get a clear shot of the mouth?

thanks for the input, actually the first shot is of about 4 of them in the substrate, i also have some on the lr, power heads, and some of my astrea snails are even carrying them around...!!

well i took one to my lfs so they could help me id it and they sold it! and now they want me to bring them more...LOL

What did they sell it as?

Have you tried getting ID at Eric's or Ron's forums at RC?

Dude I think those are "anemonia majano" which can be almost as pesky as aiptasia. If you have Volume 2 of "The Reef Aquarium" (delbeek and sprung) then look on page 374

thanks scuba, thats exactly the direction i needed, i'll get the volume and look into it... i took all but about 4 of them to my lfs and sold them to them...3 are on snails and one is on lr so i think i have a handle on things so far....thanks again
