DT's Phytoplankton and Garlic Elixir

First off. . when i feed with Dt's do i just put it in the tank or do i direct toward the corals specifically?
or do i just turn off the skimmer put the required amount in and leave it for a few hours?

secondly the garlic elixir, can it be mixed with the food in bulk solutions? or should i just do it everymorning?

I just add the DT into the water. Remember your not only feeding the corals, but all the other critters in the rock work too. I've been told that live DT will not get skimmed. With that said, I still cut off my skimmer for a couple of hours while feeding DT.
As to the garlic. When using, I soak it into the food prior to feeding. Flake food seems to work best.
