Cool 1 down 1 to go!

I am so stoked, my male perc finally went into my purple LTA now if the female will follow suit I will be one happy camper. I thought they would never go in to anemone. I was even considering trading the LTA for a BTA to see if they would go in that but luckily my patience (something I dont have alot of) payed off. I will try to post a pic soon.

Congrats marco.. that's exciting when that happens. I've found that clowns will often avoid anemones if they aren't in their territory. As soon as the anemone is in their territory, they'll be all over it.

That's a great sight isnt it! Those are soom good looking clowns too. Congrats! If you could tell me more about your anemone I'd love to hear your methods of feeding, lighting, dosing etc........I'm always interested in finding out more about anemones. Keep up the good work.

Naser, fishguy_8, I am running 2x96w PCs 1 10k and 1 CSL Ultra Acitinic, and 1 250w 65k MH. It took a month for this anemone to decide where it wanted to bury its foot. I only feed it once or twice a week, seems like its gets bigger every time I feed it. I alternate between fresh gulf shrimp, red snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi, or whatever I have in the freezer. Yes, you read correctly, my father-in-law has a 30' Grady White that is kept in Freeport TX. and we go offshore fishing all the time so I always have a supply of fresh fish in my freezer. I don't see any reason to buy food for the anemone when I have top choice food on hand. IMO the anemone likes the shrimp the best but eats all exceptionally well. I waited a long time for this anemone and it is one of my favorite things in the tank. I originally wanted a pair of Orange Skunks but didn't have much luck finding a quality pair. Keith, owner of Aquatic Designs in Houston got this pair of true percs for me. The female was not in great shape when I got them but I spent alot of time nursing her to good health with the help of garlic and selcon and now I am totally happy with them. She even talks to me when I am in front of the tank. Strange thing to here a female clown if you have never had the pleasure. As a matter of fact I went to see Keith last weekend and he had the nicest pair of Orange Skunks. I said, how come you couldn't get me some of those when I was wanting them? He told me to bring my true percs in and swap them for the Skunks. I said no way my clowns just started going into my anemone and they are here to stay.

Sorry for the rambling.

Those are cool pics. Wise choice in keeping your LTA instead of BTA. Percs ignore BTA.

I have a gold stripe Maroon, and the fish jumped up to my hand as soon as he saw the BTA I was putting in there. Was less than like 30 seconds before he jumped in on it.

Lighting isn't everything. I feed my BTA everyday. Shrimp or squid pieces. And it's grown an inch since December.

i have 80 watts of no lighting and another 110 of pc's.. that makes 190 watts on my fish tank.. from what ive been hearing you need somthing like 400 watss to keep them alive.
