I have a brand new 90.i need to know what the best cycle to achieve maximum results for my reef.currently all i have 160lbs of rock and live argonite sand.

Well, if you have all the rock and hopefully a 4-6" deep sand bed then I would say let the tank run for 6 months maybe adding a cleanup crew a month after the nitrites drop to zero. After 6 months the tank should be ready for some fish and a coral or two...that would be best.

It'll just depend on how it goes. I put my cleanup crew in just two weeks after the rock and sand, and they were fine. I did it because I was getting some diatom growth on the sand and lots of green algae on the glass. If I had waited another month the tank would have been a stinkin swamp. But I had a very short, mild cycle because my rock was never out of the water. So it just depends. Good luck.
