   Just wondering if they could possibly kill a clam? They are my last hope in finding the culprit. |

Looks like some kind of whelk, I would definately post these pics on Dr. Rons forum at RC and Im sure he will be able to tell you if they are good/bad guys.....the pics are very clear so Im sure he can give you a good ID on them.

Looks like the cone shell i toasted the other day. He was the demise of a few of my fish ( 1 chromis and 1 domino damsel) Good luck.

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure but looks like Illynassa obsoleta.
They are sometimes sold as Nassarius snails, but come from more temperate waters. You could show it to Dr. Ron for a positive ID, but I DON'T think they would kill a clam. Joaco |
