This is my first post on the bulliten so bare with me. I noticed some kind of shrimp looking creatures in my sump when I was changing out my charcoal bag. They were in the charcoal bag too. They're about 2 to 5 mm long. I hope some can tell me what they are, and how they got there, and how come were'nt there before? thanks

Welcome on-board.
Sounds like some sort of 'pod. I wouldn't worry about them, most usually are part of a well functioning eco system. ------------------ Mark Play Well |

Hi tomt, welcome to Reefland!
Those are amphipods, otherwise known as snack food for your fishies and many of your inverts. Check this site: http://www.mov.vic.gov.au/crust/amphigal.html Ninong ------------------ "The legislature's job is to write law. I assured all four of these leaders that I know the difference, and that difference is they pass the laws and I execute them."—George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Dec. 18, 2000 |
