I dont think it matters but if you plan on using it right away, close to the tank temperature would be nice![]()
I find myself not paying attention sometimes and ending up with 5 gallons of warm RO water.....but i generally only use cold.

ya
i use cold, i dont why but i prefer it
Veneman,
Well actually it does matter depending on the quality of your tap water. Where I am at (Omaha) the water coming out of the tap measures at about 320ppm for total dissolved solids which is really bad. I was told by aquatic reef systems (Bryan) to run my water through cold because it closes the pores in the DI resin to allow less crud to get through the system. It greatly reduces the water output of my RO unit, but the water quality coming out is much better. I would recommend buying a TDS meter if you do not already have one. The meter will allow you to test your existing tap water and the water coming out of the RO unit. It will also give you a measuring device of when to change your RO membrane/and or DI membrane.

heh, thats the one I got.
When I first tested my tap water I was shocked.....needless to say, I dont drink it anymore. When I use one of the GE filters on my refridgerator line, It goes down a few hundred pts..around 100 or so .....sometimes more..but man, that RO DI......its 0 or 1.
