Anyone used Kent's Salt? I have always used IO with satisfactory results but have a opportunity to purchase Kent's for less.

It's been some time since I bought or tried anything other than IO, but as I recall, it's a good salt, just had usually been more expensive than IO, and not worth the extra money's. IMHO.
So if it's cheaper, I say why not... JCS |

The guy at my LFS (actually a good, reef-only lfs called Coral Connection) swears by the Kent stuff. He says its made by the same people that supply Reef Crystals and has much better Ca levels than the IO salt.
That said, I've used IO exclusively and I'm happy with it ![]() |

My local lfs "strictly fish" also swears by it. They carry many brands of salt, but they only recommand kent for reef.

if u can get it cheaper than IO. I would change to kent (try it, it wont hurt. I can get IO for $9.99 for 50 gal/mix and I still pay $15 for kent.

From what I have heard Both IO and Kent are made at the same place just different packaging but that may just be rumor
Jeff Reef Crystals is a Very good product though
