Hi there! Getting the clean-up crew from IPSF is a great source to boost your infauna(critters). I would personally go with the snails and forgo the hermits(great snail killers). Maybe a couple of red scarlet hermits but that is about it with hermits! Dr. Ron Shimek over at http://www.reefcentral.com has some real good reasons for not having hermits in a reef tank. JMO Johnny

I too once thought and tried leaving hermits out of my tank, but it didnt work.... Yes they may eat snails, but my sand bed and rock does not look near as good as when i have snail and hermits...
jmo.

I too would go light on the hermits if any at all in my reef. In my tanks here I do not put any snails in with the blue legs. The only hermits kept with snails are the scarlets. Try some nassarius snails if you want something which will scavenge.

I've always liked Gerald at IPSF.

Let us know what you decide and best of luck!

GARF is a great place to get a cleanup package.I personally have dealt with them a few times with no complaints.
