The other day, I noticed what I thought was a cluster of small bubbles on the glass of my tank. Upon closer inspection, they are all identcally sized (about 2mm each) with several (5-10) miniscule white "dots" inside each.
They look like little clear pouches of eggs. Pic attached. Any ideas? Some kind of snail, maybe? The pic is OK -- it's very difficult to take a picture of a clear thing stuck to glass ![]() |

Those are strombus snail eggs. They will hatch in about 3 weeks. You can watch their development from the egg to the snail in that time period. They then make a hole in the sac and climb out. Really neat . IPSF sells the strombus snails and has some info on their breeding habits.

Sweet! Free snails!
I was just complaining the other day that I don't have enough anymore because the hermits needed new homes ![]() |
