What's up?

Well after battling my red alge for 6 months, yesterday it receded and today its completely gone?!?!?!?!?! anyone know how this happened? I did a waterchange today just to be sure the dead alge won't foul the tank, but im suprised it just went away like it did......

Well...since it just went away, I'm not going to make my switch of tanks....I'd rather just turn the 35g into a new tank, I'd like to try my hand at clams and sps.....

For a fish list im thinking of 2 clownfish(undetermined species), and mated pair of gobies....

well anyways....how much liverock should i get for the tank, i really like my clams, so i don't want to crowd the tank

Mikeman,

A mated pair of clownfish I think will be enough for that size tank. I have a 25 gallon, and I was at first contemplating whether I should put a mated pair in that tank (and yes I did). I think a pair of either fish would be nice in your tank. When you account for the fact you'll have a DSB, the rocks, the corals, and possible s'room rocks, you'll have less than the 35 gallons of actual saltwater. I would definitely take this into account when determining requirements for fish (i.e. whether there will be enough dissolved oxygen for the fish, bioload problems, etc).

However, if you have a larger tank also, you may test it out in the 35 and if things don't look too great, you can always move a pair into your larger tank.

plus i want to keep my water quality up since it'll be an sps tank.....right now I think I'll use a 250mh, is this enough for maxima clams?
