    Smile Hi obring

There are many different types of shrimps you should pick a certain species and study its needs for habitat, food, and compatibility w/other fish/corals etc etc. A good starter shrimp would be a Skunk Cleaner shrimp. They are colourful and will clean parasites off of most fish.

A question here in addition to obrings post. Will skunk cleaner shrimps deplete the rock and sand of the bugs and worms that are there?

    Hi Capt K

Most all of the shrimps will prey on your SB fauna to a certain degree, but Dr. Ron states that some are worst than others. The Fire shrimp is very predacious on the fauna, and I believe Coral Banded shrimps are too....But if memory serves me correctly the skunk cleaners are the better of the evils...heres an interesting thread on this topic

I have 2 skunks, 1 coralbanded, and 2 peppermints (added for aiptasia control) and 75% of my shrimps where added to my 220g after it was cycled, and had a very healthy stock of sb fauna and a refugium

Discussion is an exchange of knowledge; argument an exchange of ignorance.
