Talking Little Eye Candy

Howdy Guys Just wanted to share a little eye candy with ya all. I put him in my 110 reef on sunday. He seems to be doing ok eating very well. I had him in our shop for prolly a month and a half and observed him and watched him closely before bringing him home. Thus far he seems to like button's but if thats the only thing he eats I will be happy

Jeff

BTW this is a temp thing I have a fowlr coming soon.

Is there some type of sponge meal you can give the fish? I think it might be pricey though.

The Imperators is on my list of top 10 beautiful fish.

Eating for him is no big deal he is a eating machine. Loves Krill which blows me away but Oh well. He has stopped eating the buttons now so all is good. I will keep his belly full so maybe he will be happy. Thanks for your kinda words. Sue Email me I have some questions for you.

I've had a Pomocanthus imperator in my reef for close to 4 years now and his diet has included the following (to my dismay) Zoanthus (button polyp's) Catalaphyllia jardinei (elegance coral) Clavularia virdis (green star polyps) and any sponge that grows were he can reach it. He also picks at my Lobophyllia hemprichii (open brain). other than that he has been a model reef citizen. IMHO he beauty and grace far outway the sacrfice of no being able to keep the aformetioned corals.

Hey Jeff, just wondering. Do you have fans blowing in and out from the sides or the back?

Hey Jeff... sorry it took me so long to respond.. I was on vacation so I finally got a chance to look at your post. Wow! the tank is coming along really nice. What kind of filtration and lighting are you running again? I can't wait to see that tank after a couple years of maturing! very cool man.
