Here are some updated photos of our 7gal Nano Reef and some of the creatures that inhabit it. The tank has been running for almost two months now. So far so good. There are lots more pictures on our website . There is a link in my signature below.

Sweeeet! You make me want to start a nano back up! what are your plans for fish if any? Seems to be doing great w/out them. You are giving great meaning to the statement "Great things come in small packages" What type of camera do you use? Thanx for sharing the beautiful pics!

Beautiful nano!
How do you keep it so clean? What lighting do you have?

Thanks for the nice comments
![]() Scubadude, so far no plans for fish. We had a Percula in there for a couple of weeks, but I decided I wasn't able to feed the poor thing (it was ordered from Marine Depot and turned out to be a tad large for our nano) enough without whacking out the Nitrates. Needless to say, we returned it to our LFS so hopefully it is in a larger happier place now. ![]() Most of the photos on our website are taken with a Sony Mavica MVC CD-300. There are a few though that are taken with my girlfriends Canon EOS D-60. We JUST got a new macro lens for her camera so we will more than likely use hers more often now than the Sony. On the website, under each photo is a Camera Details section also, that tells what camera was used to take the photo. ![]() Reinhold the tank has gone through a couple of phases already where the gravel did not look as clean as it does today. The only thing I can attribute "clean" to is our cleanup crew of 5 blue legged hermits, 3 astrea snails and a whole bunch of hitchhiker stomatella snails. Oh, weekly gallon water changes help also. The lighting on the tank is a Custom Sea Life 32watt Smartlight retrofit. I purchased the kit from Premium Aquatics, and installed it into the existing MiniBow7 lightstrip. Gil |

On Friday night, my girlfriend and I went to our LFS to purchase a Cleaner Shrimp for our Nano Reef. Well, as it turns out, they had 4 nice Yellow Polyp rocks for $10 each. They had one that we particularly liked so needless to say it has a new home with us now. We also purchased the Cleaner Shrimp that we had been planning on getting anyhow. Here are some photos.....
Current Full Tank Shot Cleaner Shrimp Yellow Polyps Big News!! I successfully fragged Xenia last night! Here is a photo of the new cutting taken this morning to prove it! I took the cutting last evening and stuck it in the sand, and it grabbed hold of some sand. This morning I glued the sand it was holding to the rock. Here is the photo. Of course there are more photos on our website of our newest creatures and our new little home-made Xenia frag. In fact, I just added the 100th photo to the Nano Photos section on our site! Gil |
